Currently serving member and defendants of members of the Armed Forces Reserve Components living in or stationed in Arkansas including the

  • Arkansas Army National Guard

  • Arkansas Air National Guard

  • Army Reserve

  • Air Force Reserve

  • Marine Corp Reserve

  • Naval Reserve

Any current member, or family member, of the Arkansas National Guard or a Reserve Component of the Armed Forces (Army Reserve, Navy Reserve or Marine Corps Reserve) who is a resident of Arkansas is eligible to request assistance pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. §26-51-2506

No. The Foundation only accepts requests for assistance from an Army Solider and Family Readiness Specialist or an Air Force Military and Family Readiness Specialist.   For a list of Family Readiness Centers, please visit: https://arkansas.nationalguard.mil/Families/fac/ .  Military and Family Readiness Specialists are located at Ebbing Air National Guard Base or at the 189th Air Wing on Little Rock Air Force Base.

Yes, if the deployed service member is a member of the National Guard or the Reserve Components and is a resident of the State of Arkansas.

No Funds from the Trust cannot be used to assist with the purchase or long-term lease of a vehicle.

No. Funds from the Trust cannot be used to assist with the purchase of a home.

No. The information that you provide will be used by the Foundation Executive Director, the State Emergency Assistance Approval Committee and, depending on the amount requested, the Executive Committee of the Arkansas National Guard Foundation. The Chain of Command at your unit will also be advised of the request and asked to provide a letter of good standing to the Foundation.

It depends on the amount requested.  If the application is complete:

  • Requests up to $750 can normally be processed in 1-3 Business Days
  • Requests up to $1500 can normally be processed in 4-7 Business Days.
  • Requests up to $2500 can normally be processed in 7-10 Business Days

The service member is not pending disciplinary actions, under investigation, pending administrative separation or pending discharge under other than honorable conditions.  Typically, a flag for weight control or physical fitness. would not affect eligibility unless the servicemen has been barred to reenlistment.

Generally, yes. The Foundation will normally require a receipt or an invoice for the requested aide.  General requests with our specific dollar amounts will normally be denied. The Foundation may approve a grant amount but require the submission of receipts for payment.

Generally, yes. The Foundation will normally require a receipt or an invoice for the requested aide.  Request for assistance with bills that are not yet due will normally be denied, except in cases where the financial distress is a result of a military pay issue at no fault to the service member.

No. Pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. §26-51-2506, eligibility is limited to currently serving members and their families.

HOW ARE REQUESTS FOR ASSISTANCE PROCESSED?

Applications will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Request for less than $750 may be approved by the ANGF Executive Director and generally take from 1-4 business days.

Requests for $750 to $1500 will be reviewed by the State Emergency Assistance Approval Committee and generally take 5-7 business days to process.

Requests for $1500 to $2500 will be reviewed first by the Foundation Emergency Assistance Approval Committee, and if approved will also be reviewed by the Foundation’s Executive Committee. Approval of Grants between $1500 to $2500 may take from 7-10 business days for approval.

HOW ARE REQUESTS FOR ASSISTANCE SUBMITTED?

Applications must be submitted by the service member’s SFRS / M&FRPS. Service members should contact their unit to find their respective SFRS / M&FRPS.
