This year, the Arkansas National Guard Foundation’s goal for the inaugural Legacy Gala is to commemorate the National Guard’s 390th birthday while celebrating service, honoring sacrifice and supporting Arkansas National Guard members and their families.
The Arkansas National Guard serves our state and nation in moments of crisis, uncertainty and need. Behind every Guardsman is a family that serves alongside them, often carrying sacrifices that are less visible but no less real.
That is where the Arkansas National Guard Foundation steps in.
The Foundation supports Arkansas Guardsmen and their families through emergency assistance, scholarships, youth programs, survivor support and preservation of the Guard’s proud heritage. Thanks to generous supporters, the Foundation has provided more than $1.8 million in assistance and programing for the Arkansas National Guard members, families and survivors.
Honoring Benjamin Moore
This year, the Arkansas National Guard Foundation will present Benjamin Moore with the Charlie Nabholz Award for Distinguished Service in Support of Arkansas National Guard, Military Families and Survivors.
The Nabholz Award is the highest individual recognition conferred by the Foundation, honoring sustained contributions of exceptional and far-reaching impact to Arkansas National Guard members, families and survivors.
A native of Sherwood and a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones, Ben has conducted federal financial literacy seminars throughout the region and has worked closely with Arkansas soldiers and airmen to provide financial education and support. He recently assumed the role of President of the Arkansas National Guard Foundation Board of Directors, where he has played a meaningful role in strengthening the Foundation, building support for its mission, and helping generate the contributions that make events like The Legacy Gala possible.
