Arkansas Taxpayers Can Support National Guard Families Through “Pick an Amount and Make It Count” Program
LITTLE ROCK, AR – Arkansas taxpayers have a unique opportunity to directly support the “Citizen Soldiers and Airmen” of the Arkansas National Guard who are facing financial hardships. Through the “Pick an Amount and Make It Count” program, Arkansans can designate a portion of their 2024 tax return to benefit the Military Family Relief Program—a critical initiative providing emergency assistance to Guard members and their families in times of need.
The program is administered by the Arkansas National Guard Foundation in accordance with NGAR 2015-2 (Jan 2023) and ensures that every contribution goes directly toward helping military families overcome unexpected financial challenges.
How to Contribute:
- When filing your 2024 Arkansas State Individual Tax Return (Form AR1000F or AR1000NR), enter the amount you wish to donate on Line 49 designated for the Military Family Relief Program.
- Complete and attach Form AR1000CO (Check-Off Contributions) to specify your donation amount.
- Donations can be as little as $1, $5, $10, $20, or any amount of your choosing by writing it in on Line 7 of Form AR1000CO.
- Copy your donation amount from Form AR1000CO to Line 49 of your Arkansas tax return.
